Education

I have been at LSU in Shreveport since 1976.  I received a B.S. in General Business Administration in 1980, I then went over to Louisiana Tech in Ruston for a year and a half and I was in a Post-Bacalarate / Pre-Master program in Computer Science.  I came back to LSU-S and received a second B.S. in Computer Science in 1983, and an M.B.A in 1985.

In 1989 I started Claiborne Sharp Professional Audio, Inc. We specialize in  the design and installation of Church and Commercial Sound and Video Systems. We are the only licensed Sound/Video Contractor in the Northwest Louisiana area.

First United Methodist Church Shreveport, La

 

        Since 1976 I have served as Audio Director at First Methodist. I am responsible for running the Sound System for both of our traditional services on Sunday Morning, along with coordinating the Audio and Video Systems for our Contemporary Service FAITHLink on Sunday Mornings.

I joined the churches Boy Scout Troop 18 in 1969 and I received my Eagle Scout Award in 1972. Since 1976 I have served as Assistant Scoutmaster for the troop. On March 5, 2011 I was awarded the SILVER BEAVER Award from the Norwela Scout Council in recognition of my 35 years of adult service to the troop.
